About
We were born at the end of 2021 from the restlessness with the proximity to the tipping point in the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest and its serious consequences.
In the early years, Libélula dedicated itself to AmazoniaHack, an international open innovation program co-created with the Earth Hacks / Rooted Futures Lab, to contribute to the conservation of the Amazon.
Across four editions in a virtual and bilingual format (Portuguese and English), the initiative has already brought together more than 100 participants from 20 countries, working on challenges presented by organizations such as Ibama, Imazon/MapBiomas, IPAAM, ICV, Nusoken (Sateré-Mawé), Green Bug, and Meninas da Geo (IFPA).
In 2025, we initiated an incubation model for the solutions developed at AmazôniaHack, supporting the advancement of an open-source digital solution for environmental field inspection, developed by Moiru AI in partnership with Imazon and Fundo Vale.
Now, Libélula is beginning to expand its operations, putting this experience and its diverse network at the service of organizations and individuals seeking to broaden perspectives and create more conscious responses to complex socio-environmental and organizational challenges.

The initiator
Marina Assis Tavares holds a degree in Business Administration from FGV-SP and has specializations in Regenerative Leadership, Group Facilitation, and Social Innovation.
With 15 years of experience at the intersection of communication, innovation, and socio-environmental impact, with previous roles at Nestlé, United Way Brazil, and the Black Jaguar Foundation, where she/he/they brokered partnerships to enable the planting of 1 million trees along the Araguaia River.
Combines strategic communication, empathetic listening, and systemic thinking to facilitate dialogues, connect different perspectives, organizations, and sectors in building solutions for complex challenges.
